New Music Tuesdays

Last night, Mikey Dee and DJ Xcellent dropped the soundtrack to the #MetroTour movie.

The #MetroTour kicked off this summer as one of the most anticipated, underground, independent concert series this year. The goal was to get into these communities to not only hear the music but, feel the pulse of the movement. Boy, did we feel it and soon you will too.  Tangi Chronicles featured the fellas on the series and will drop the episode soon.  Until then,

Follow the team on twitter and be the 1st to view the short film titled "MetroTour the Movie" as soon as it drops!

The Tangi Chronicles Episode Charged Up Part II

It's finally here.  The anticipated, Part II of the review for the Charged Up DC Musical Festival.  If you missed the festival, you missed out on a real treat.

For years, festivals that catered to OUR communities in DC area were only memories of what once was.  Thanks to gentrification and economic boom,  the outdoor concert festivals are coming back.  I enjoyed my time at this festival and appreciate the opportunity to cover such an event.  Hopefully, they will bring this back next year.

Tangi Chronicles Episode Charged Up!

The Tangi Chronicles was given permission to cover its 1st fall music festival of the year.  Charged Up DC was an event held in the NOMA neighborhood at Storey Park.  According to the website Charged Up DC, the goal was to "shine a spotlight on local artist and community organization" to in an effort to "keep the culture charged up"

Though the festival may have failed to reach the number of attendees, their goal was reached.  I had a wonderful time covering this event and I hope they decide to make this an annual event.  For More details, click the video below to watch part I of the full review.
