So last night I went with the girls to Proud Mary's in Ft. Washington, MD. This place sits along the Potomac River at the Ft Washington Marina. I have heard good things about this place so, like everyone else in my group, I was looking forward to what they had to offer.
So umm yeah in true fashion we were late... The Bff & I can never seem to get anywhere on time... smh... Our reservation was at 7:30 & since we got there at 8:05 they gave our table away... Cool.. We ended up being seated at 8:38. Proud Mary's is a cute restaurant... The tables are dressed nicely with glass tops and appropriate dinnerware.. They have what looks like, a large party area.. or the area where large groups of ppl are seated. On the other side of that, is what seems to be more of an lounge area and on the other side of that was an outside seating area.
Our waitress starts us off with glasses of water. My water was nice & cold; esp, since my glass was full of ice cubes.

After we were situated at the table we began to order appetizers & drinks. One of my girlfriends suggested we try the Sangria's... She has good taste in those type of drinks, so yeah I was jy eager to try it...
Gate!!!! Off break the waitress tells us they don't have any sangria's & basically gave us the short form as to why they didn't have em... Then she says well I could ask the bartender to make it but, we would just have to wait awhile till the fruit marinated in the wine...
Gate!!! They don't have any wine... So we just order their regular specialty cocktails... I had a peach margarita that tasted awesome to say the least... We all were pleased with our secondary choice, except for my Sangria friend who had to settle for a coke

... In the meantime the appetizer's finally came anddddddd something was wrong with the wings... (I think they didn't buffalo them) so they were sent back... the spinach dip was just ok... It didn't really dip right to me but I ate some anyway lol... Now it's 9:30 & they're just taking our orders for real food... So we're chillin, talking, & stuff & the waitress comes back & says, "NO CRABCAKES"... The F*ck!!! How does a
SEAFOOD restaurant run outta crabcakes... So now I don't even know
WHAT I want...

If I wasn't so freaking hungry I wouldn't have ordered anything... I ended up getting the shrimp & just called it a day... Somewhere between 10:15 & 10:30 they bring us our food... & guess what my order was wrong... My shrimp came out fried instead of broiled...

I didn't complain tho.. The manager looked out for the bff & I since our food came out so late & our waitress gave us some free cornbread muffins... I ate like 1/3rd of the corn muffin cuz I'm supposed to be on a diet but, it was good... In no way am I food critic but, I do like to eat... The main things that annoyed me about my plate were 1) my broccoli was not fresh, it was frozen & 2) some of my shrimp hadn't been deveined... That made me wonder were my shrimp even fresh??? I don't think a shrimp dish should be priced at $19.99 if the quality of the food is sub par... That was just my plate tho... My friends really enjoyed their food... & despite my nitpicking mine wasn't all that bad either...
Hanging with the chicas is always a good time; however, I prolly won't go to Proud Mary's anymore... I jy wanna give it another chance tho... Mostly, to try out the crabcakes... I mean if they're soldout they must've been good right???

I just can't fade the drive just for a peach margarita and cornbread muffins...
Sidenote: The DJ was jy crankin...
